Preparing for the 11+ is a big step for a ten-year-old. Our 11+ tutors are qualified teachers who make preparation structured, calm and encouraging, so your child walks into the exam knowing what to expect.
What 11+ preparation covers
Maths and English to the standard the 11+ expects, including comprehension and creative writing.
Verbal and non-verbal reasoning, practised little and often.
Timed practice and familiarity with the style of paper your target schools use.
Confidence and exam technique, so nerves do not get in the way.
Grammar and independent schools
11+ tests differ between areas and schools. Tell your teacher which schools your child is applying to, and lessons can focus on the right papers and skills.
Lessons can be 1-to-1 or in a small group, and parents see notes, homework and progress after every lesson.
Safe, qualified teaching
Every teacher is a qualified teacher or experienced education professional, approved by hand before they can teach.
Identity, qualifications and police checks (enhanced DBS for UK teachers where applicable) are verified first.
Lessons take place in our secure online classroom in the browser, with live video and an interactive whiteboard. Nothing to download.
Lessons are recorded for safeguarding, stored securely and deleted after 30 days unless needed for a safeguarding or legal reason.
Parents see lesson notes, homework, feedback and progress in their own dashboard.
Many families start in Year 4 or early Year 5, ahead of tests in the autumn of Year 6. Starting later can still help, with a more focused plan.
Can my child have lessons in a small group?
Yes. Some teachers run small group lessons and live courses as well as 1-to-1 tuition. Group lessons are shown on the teacher's profile.
How much do lessons cost?
Each teacher sets their own price, shown clearly on their profile before you book. You can book single lessons, save with a lesson package, or book weekly lessons. Payments are taken securely by Stripe.
Are your teachers DBS checked?
Yes. Every teacher goes through our verification process before joining: identity, qualifications, safeguarding requirements and a police check. UK teachers hold an enhanced DBS certificate where applicable; international teachers provide an equivalent police check.
Can I cancel or move a lesson?
Yes. Lessons can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. See our cancellation and refund policy for full details.
