Yes. Every teacher on Education Lifeguards undergoes a verification process before joining the platform. This includes qualification checks, safeguarding requirements, identity verification, and a police check. We are committed to providing a safe, professional, and trusted learning environment for every family.
We offer tuition across a wide range of subjects and levels, including Primary, SATs, 11+, Key Stage 3, GCSE, iGCSE, A-Level, and IB. Subjects include Maths, English Language and Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Modern Foreign Languages, History, Geography, Computer Science, and more. If you cannot find the subject you need, contact us and we will do our best to match you with a suitable qualified teacher.
Our secure online classroom is designed to make learning simple, interactive, and effective. Lessons take place through live video with access to an interactive whiteboard, screen sharing, chat, and learning resources. No software downloads are required. Students can join directly from their web browser. Parents and students can also access progress updates, homework, and teacher feedback through their dashboard.
Lesson prices vary depending on the tutor, subject, and level. Tutors set their own rates, which are clearly displayed on their profile. You can book individual lessons or save with a lesson package. All prices are shown in GBP or your location's currency and include VAT where applicable.
Yes. Lessons can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge with a minimum of 24 hours' notice. Cancellations or reschedule requests made within 24 hours of the lesson start time are non-refundable and the full lesson fee remains payable. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for full details.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, one of the world's leading payment providers. We accept all major credit and debit cards, and all transactions are protected using industry-standard encryption. Payment details are never stored by Education Lifeguards. Lesson prices are displayed clearly before booking, with no hidden fees.
Yes! Parents have access to a dedicated parent portal where they can view upcoming and past sessions, read session notes written by the tutor, track progress over time, manage payments and invoices, and communicate directly with tutors. Transparency is one of our core values.
We want every student to have a positive and successful learning experience. If you feel a tutor is not the right fit, please contact us and we will work with you to find a more suitable teacher. Our tutors are carefully vetted and monitored, but we understand that learning styles and personalities differ. Our goal is to ensure every student receives the support they need to thrive.
Education Lifeguards works exclusively with qualified teachers and experienced education professionals. To apply, complete our tutor application form and submit your qualifications, teaching experience and police check documentation. Applications are reviewed individually, and successful candidates complete our onboarding and safeguarding process before being approved to teach on the platform.

Payment details are processed securely through Stripe, and access to student information is restricted to authorised users only. We never sell personal data to third parties. Refunds are considered in accordance with our Refund Policy and Terms & Conditions. Lessons that have already taken place are generally non-refundable. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are not eligible for a refund. If a lesson is cancelled by a teacher or there is a platform issue that prevents the lesson from taking place, we will work with you to provide a suitable resolution.
